Simple and SOLID
These are great. The handles are thick enough to allow me to hold and use them comfortably, and apply force when needed. The one-handed operation + lock is ergonomic and foolproof.

Seem durable
Good for trimming, I also hacked away at some of the wooded branches of my rose bushes and quite pleased how easy it was. Shears are a little on the heavy side but seem durable so worth it
