Tying Back To Our Local Roots

Recently, our team had the opportunity to create custom, team-branded sledgehammers for The University of Wisconsin Football Team. As a Madison-based outdoor tool company with a lot of locally bred team members on our own roster, this was a very special moment. Read on to learn about the products we were able to provide for our beloved Badgers!

All About The Tools

When we started this endeavor, we knew that we wanted to bring their team the same high-quality material and performance that runs throughout our portfolio of products, and also provide exactly what was needed by the team. So, when crafting these tools, we made sure to custom design the sledgehammers to the exact specifications of the University of Wisconsin’s football program. We ended up creating two models for the team: mini sledgehammers for ceremonial use and larger 20lb sledgehammers for training purposes and activities throughout the season. We like to say we have a no-nonsense approach to product design, and we have worked hard to blend a lifetime of practical know-how with modern insights and manufacturing techniques to be able to create tools that are equally efficient as they are versatile. These sledgehammers are no exception.

How They’ll Be Used: On & Off The Field

Throughout the 2023 football season, players who achieve team awards will be gifted the mini sledgehammers as a token of recognition. The larger, 20lb models will be used by players for an array of tasks, including on-field activities, and even exercises in the weight room. The Badgers first used our mini ceremonial sledgehammers during their "Iron Badger" ceremony, where the winners were awarded the tools…what a way to kick off the season!
